What was the highlight of Amerson Pension Place

wonderful

Breakfast just okay. Location is quite good. Staff very friendly and accommodating. It's like a home away from home. Had a good night's rest and sleep as it is a little bit away from the main highway. It is also very near the Ka Inato restaurant where food was very yummy but cheap.

Hot water in the bathroom. Air con in the room. Good value, close to the bus terminal and Robinson mall.

The receptionist doesn't speak English so it was hard to be understood. No blanket on the bed

Only 10 min drive from the airport, location is good. Breakfast was delicious. Also they helped me with the transfer to El Nido, and it was cheap.

Worst hotel in my life!!! 1. No wifi. Actually they have wifi, but the access denied. Maybe they just don't pay for it. 2. The room was dirty. Dust everywhere 3. Plumbing leaves much to be desired 4. Ants everywhere. They are on the table during breakfast, on my bed, on myself. And I think some of them now live in my backpack 5. During my 3 nights stay, they never cleaned my room or changed the towel

Most people knew where the property was.

Most people knew where the property was. There were a nice amount of food places close by and was a short tricycle ride away from the Robinsons Place.

There were bugs in the room. But I expected as much since it’s the Philippines.

Stayed for 5 nights and not once was my room ever cleaned. Horrible and unfriendly people.

The staff that checked me in.

Loathed EVERYTHING about this place. Where do I start? The unprofessional and horrible staff, dirty bathroom and toilet. Or the general lackadaisical attitude like they are being forced to run the place. The tap in my room stopped on the third day. I couldn't shower. Complained to the guys they left at the reception who seemed clueless about what to do. I was made to wait for more than 2 hours with the "we are working on it" line. After 2 hours, I went downstairs to check, and the guys ran and hid from the reception area when they saw me coming. I called out but no response. Went back to my room and 30mins later I snuck downstairs only to find them sipping juice and not even acknowledging that I was waiting for feedback on the absence of water in my room. I used the water I fetched in a bucket to have a quick bath and slept. The next morning, water came back after breakfast but not once did the management or anyone at all apologize or even acknowledge the inconvenience. I was totally ignored like I didn't even pay to stay in the dump. Sheets were not changed nor room ever cleaned for 5 nights. Luckily I always carry a sheet with me.. If you ever want to enjoy your vacation, AVOID this dump like you would an infectious disease. You can get better value for your budget-friendly pocket elsewhere.

Place is as advertised. Affordable. Close to the airport and shopping mall. Shuttle service

They have rooms available with lots of beds. Makes it nice for booking a room for a large group. We had 4 people and each had our own room. Made it nice and cheaper.

Place is quietly tucked away in a sort of garden.

Place is quietly tucked away in a sort of garden. In spite of that, it is not hard to get to the highway and go to restaurants, banks and mall. It's possible to get a free ride on their van to the mall or to Robinsons.

Bathroom fixtures can be improved. Maybe get a water filtration system to improve water quality.

Friendliest Staff, Convenient & Comfy Stay - Value for your Money!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for me. Good restaurants, banks and convenience stores were a walking distance. Robinson's Place was just about 2-5 minutes away by tricycle/jeepney. Public transportation was accessible. The room was spacious. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The place was very clean. Airport shuttle was free. The pick up and drop off to the airport was convenient. They can book the tours for you so that was very convenient as well. Free wifi was available in the room (where I had stayed but may be weaker on other floors) and common areas. Massage and sauna are available. Overall, the place was perfect for a nice comfortable stay with value for your money - if you would mostly be out for the day (on tours or business) and would just need a place to rest at the end of your day. I would definitely recommend Amerson Pension Place.

There is no restaurant or room service if you would need a snack or meal. They only provide the free breakfast and sell some snacks/cup noodles. Other than that, you may need to go out for a meal. They do have menus if you'd like food delivered (fast food). The TV is a bit small and far from the bed. The reception was sometimes not clear and only a few channels. However, I was out for the day enjoying the different tours and too tired when I get back to the pension place, so the tv was not really an inconvenience.
